Well this video could have been 10 minutes long had I just done everything right the first time....... oh well!
I had the inspiration for the lamp from a short I saw on @PeaceandSaraity 's channel. Thank you!
I also want to include the channels from the clips I used at the beginning of my video, because that's the nice thing to do. I do actually follow all of them in real life, so if you're interested in any of these topic, I think you'll really like them:
@Vsauce (science-y)
@Jose.elCook (cooking)
@noahsterncoffee (coffee and coffee related things)
@NicoleCoenen (wood/lumber/assorted outdoorsy things)
Materials:
(Even though Amazon links are convenient, since I only bought three things I used off of Amazon, I can’t in good conscience provide links for stuff I didn’t buy there. For the links I did provide, if you buy it from there, I do receive a small commission off of your purchase. If you’re not comfortable with that, you can look up the name in the search bar separately)
Casing:
Wood: 3 different thicknesses
Glue
Various tools you’ll need to cut it (I know this is vague, but there are many ways to do this part, so there’s no need to restrict yourself to my approach on this one)
Clamps
Finish/stain
String
Magnets (small and strong)
Electric Components (this part is a bit more strict than the one above):
18V Yellow LED Lights (single color)
2 Pin LED Single Color Connector Strips (I only ended up using one wire, so not really necessary): https://amzn.to/3zpTugq
18V Power Supply: https://amzn.to/4eP2lbO
Micro Limit Switch
Diffuser Paper (mine was self-adhesive, but that’s only because I couldn’t find a different kind): https://amzn.to/4bsDac7
Electrical Tape
