“Love’s About To Change My Heart" – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Donna Summer

ReStructure Mix Update (10/29/26): “Love’s About To Change My Heart" – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Donna Summer Donna Summer did not earn the title “Queen Of Disco” - she was born with it. Her vocal style throughout the early years of her career has always displayed control over her tool and gift. Early years of her recording career as a childlike whisper with a constant power became her focus on using her natural voice. It was no wonder with “Love To Love You Baby” through "Once Upon A Time” the soft panther approach made her a critical part of disco music and its own message and reputation. Even though it was a sensual beat pounding out a sexy delivery it was also her style which allowed her to raise her power onto tracks like “Mc Arthur Park”. As Donna traveled through the 80s and attempted to prove that she was more than a soulful disco performer (which her fans of the 70s already knew) she was playing out her presence as an artist as she did in early recordings like “Love To Love You Baby”. “Love’s About To Change My Heart” from her 1989 return to the synth-pop sound created by Stock, Aitken and Waterman which was the 80s disco sound refurbished with electronic technology and creative artists. The album was embraced by those who knew and believed in Donna as her vibrance and energy was brought out again with uplifting songs such as this. I have taken the 12” versions of “Love’s About To Change My Heart” and put parts and pieces into a new ReStructure Mix. The intro gives a new take on the track which leads me to the new arrangement all together.
