Watch a Snapping Turtle Rest After Digging a Decoy Nest The Walk Back to the Pond

Perhaps the most boring video on YouTube, a female snapping turtle has just finished digging a decoy nest and pauses for several minutes before making her slow journey back to the nearby pond. This 15-minute wildlife video captures a fascinating glimpse into the natural behaviors of a snapping turtle in its natural habitat. Many snapping turtles create decoy nests or disturbed areas around their actual nesting sites, helping to confuse predators that might otherwise locate and destroy their eggs. After completing her work, this turtle spends much of the video resting and surveying her surroundings before eventually returning to the water.
