We chat with the dynamic director-producer team of Academy of Fine Arts, Jayabrata Das and Soumya Sarkar, in this episode of Soul Connection. It's more than just a discussion about movies; it's an emotional examination of friendship, passion, and the shared artistic path. They discuss the origins of the Academy of Fine Arts, including the initial concept, the emotional bond with Kolkata's cultural environment, and how their narrative was influenced by art, theater, and interpersonal relationships. We also explore their individual journeys: Jayabrata's development as a director, Soumya's experience as a producer striking a balance between imagination and realism, and how their partnership evolved into a mutual dream. This episode captures the essence of creation itself, from their inspirations and challenges to the deeper significance of art in contemporary life. Watch for a candid, kind, and perceptive discussion that honors friendship, movies, and the enduring power of narrative. Chapters: 00:00 Highlights 1:08 Intro 3:13 Why ‘Academy of Fine Arts’?
