The pre-defined concept of the free particle is used to discuss the properties of the Lagrangian function of a dynamical system containing a free particle, and the derivation of Newton's first law using Euler-Lagrange’s equation is also introduced. Then, the closed system is defined to derive the Lagrangian function of a dynamical system containing more than one particle (interacting and non-interacting systems).
