BISU BAND 2014 | First Runner Up | Drum and Bugle Corps

BISU Band is the official band of the BISU system. It was established in 1990 and was organized by Prof. Lorenzo T. Sarigumba for school activity purposes. It is composed of instrumentalists, percussionists, lyrists and majorettes. What makes BISU Band unique is that it has its resident trainer. As of now, the band has 40 official scholars and the rest are exempted from their NSTP formations and PE subjects. The band holds audition for those who want to be part of the group. They have their practice every Saturday at BISU MC Activity Center, Tagbilaran City to improve their performance and hone their members' talents. IMPROVEMENTS & GREAT ACHIEVEMENTS It has been 23 years since BISU Band established, and look at the band now, it has improved a lot --- from school performances to private and public events and from a newbie contingent to a veteran band which everyone idolizes and admires. One of the most prestigious contests they have joined is the Alturas Drum and Bugle Corps (DBC) Competition which is held every November at CPG Sports Complex. BISU Band has been a title-holder for 17 consecutive years in Category A for they made the spectators filled with awe and fervor in their exceptional music.
