Hard Brake Pedal Troubleshooting and Repair 1989 Ford F-350 7.3L Diesel (Vacuum Pump Failure)

Welcome! In this video I diagnose and replace a faulty vacuum pump on my 1989 Ford F-350 7.3L IDI Diesel named Bertha. The main symptom in this case was a brake pedal that would get very firm after a few pumps, such as moving with traffic or stopping at a stoplight, parking, etc and my braking power would be sharply reduced. As this truck is a diesel, it does not naturally generate vacuum which pointed the finger at the vacuum pump pretty quickly. WARNING! This video is for entertainment purposes only.
