Metra Electric District NB, University Park to Chicago Millennium Station | VirtualTrain

**Best viewed in 1080p60 or 720p60 Welcome to another VirtualTrain! Today we're traveling on perhaps one of Metra's most unique lines. We're back on Metra's Electric District going back the other way from University Park (outside of Governors State University) to Millennium Station in Downtown Chicago. This is Metra's only electric train line (with it's two branches) in its entire system. You'll notice the humming sounds of the electric cable system as we ride on this line especially while accelerating and decelerating. Along with that, you'll notice the platforms are noticeably higher up compared to the other Metra routes. They're meant to be flush with the floor of the train cars like on the L which is a welcome feature especially for those with disabilities. Enjoy the ride!
