Do you like loading screens? I know I do. My previous TASes made for Rise 2: Resurrection were on Sega Saturn, so I wanted to give the PS1 port a try, too.
The gameplay is slower, the loading times take longer (I'm guessing this is because audio is less compressed?), and doing any fatality that involves multiple explosions makes the game lag like crazy for some reason. Other than Necroborg being "fixed" to be made more normal in the Saturn version, and V1-Hyper's super literally not functioning on PS1, I didn't spot any other gameplay differences while I was recording. While the Saturn version can run smoother than PS1's 25 frames per second, it unfortunately will suffer lag on certain matchups, which I'm guessing has to do with how big some of the sprites are.
In the description of my previous Rise 2 TAS, I mentioned that something about the CPUs in this game were causing misinputs, but now I'm not sure if this is the case? The input reader just seems unforgiving in general, and while making this TAS I noticed that about every 100 frames or so, the game will make a few frames of lag.
