This Broken Treehouse Was Their Home — Until We Rebuilt Everything

A powerful storm revealed just how damaged this old treehouse had become. Rain was leaking through the roof, the wooden structure was deteriorating, the staircase was unsafe, and several parts of the elevated home desperately needed repair. So the transformation began. Watch the complete rebuild as the damaged treehouse is carefully stabilized, repaired and transformed step by step — from structural supports, floor framing and a new roof to cedar siding, safer stairs, insulation, a compact kitchenette, sleeping areas, built-in storage and a warm finished interior. The goal was not to erase the original treehouse, but to preserve its character while turning it into a safer, warmer and more practical elevated micro-home. From a leaking forest shelter to a completely renewed home, this is the full REHOME transformation.
