Qurtuba Foundation is a Section 8 nonprofit registered under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India with aim of empowering disadvantaged communities by implementing multifaceted developmental projects. A key objective of the foundation is establishment of institutions that can successfully transmit knowledge, generate multiple scholarships, and ensure each and every individual’s positive participation in the nation building, community empowerment and Social Development. In July 2019, the foundation started Qurtuba Institute of Academic Excellence (QIAE) in Kishanganj, Seemanchal Region, Bihar with a vision to mould a generation of creative scholars capable of effective social engineering. Every year, the QIAE admits 60 highly talented students aged 10-12 years through a merit-based written and oral test and in order to provide them with a 10-year integrated education free of cost. Qurtuba approaches well-wishers in the community to sponsor these meritorious students and help them become influential leaders, spiritual caregivers, change makers, nation builders, social engineers and king-makers.
