LG9 Mugen: Return of the Darkseid Challenges

So I decided to do one of ‪@TheDudeontheTube‬ challenges because I'm bored. No Cheap or Poorly made characters and no cheap busters. You must have an @ with my username in your description so that I can find your video. All Battle Music is from Space Channel 5 Match 1 Representing The Lethal League: Dr. Doom (Kamekaze) Opponent: Darth Vader (Bam77 and Ax) Stage: Duel of the Fates (GojiraTheKing) Music: Introducing Ulala Starting us off is a Death Battle rematch as Dr. Doom battles Darth Vader. This version of Vader has various different moves under his belt, such as force pushes, force blasts and throwing his lightsaber like a boomerang. The special he likes to spam the most is the standard rush in combo special, he might have more but he doesn’t showcase them here, except he sometimes glitches through the floor. To beat him, I had to look for openings and set him up for an aerial combo or special. There’s not much to say here except for this was used to make a POTS style edit that ‪MisterFael‬​ fought that was made by the same person who made the Death Adder I fought recently, and at least it’s not a Nobunaga spriteswap or GooGoo64’s version (Maybe one day I’ll tackle Googoo64’s characters, but that’ll be quite the ride). Match 2 Representing The Wild Rebellion: Morrigan (Hsieh) Opponent: Darth Maul (RMX, edited by Duracelleur, AI Patched by Jor8a) Stage: The Death Star (GojiraTheKing) Music: Strut Next up on this Star Wars Villain Tour is the Sith Lord that recently got his own show, Darth Maul. This version is based off of Clone Zero in terms of his moveset, with a battle droid in place of Krizalid, a black hole special, several cape-based moves, etc. This version was edited by Duracelleur as part of the KOF Anthology project, giving him some new moves like a Fire dash special and another special from Zerozuchi. The thing about these moves is that they do a lot of damage, so you better be careful around this one. Luckily, there are exploits with this guy, before he gets off his dash attack or Robo-Krizalid summon, that’s your chance to attack using a projectile or special to counter him. Match 3 Representing The Wild Rebellion: Ibuki (GM) Opponent: General Grievous (OmegaBros6) Stage: Mustafar (Fausto Mugen) Music: Trapped in the Galaxy We go from one prequel villain to another with the 4-armed cyborg who peaked in the 2003 cartoon, General Grievous. He mostly just swings his lightsabers around and summons his battle droids to fight for you, he also has a counter move he can pull off if he has enough special bar. Speaking of his specials, he’s got one where he swings his lightsabers around, one where he plants them into the ground, and one where he spins them around in a circle (Which has Dio’s WRY sound effect for some odd reason). This one was easy to figure out, as Ibuki’s strong attacks kept him at bay and then set him up for Ibuki’s sliding grab attack, which was used to exploit his AI. Match 4 Representing Absolute Justice: Joel (Brergrsart) Opponent: Stormfrooper (HellomynameisAAA) Stage: The end of the Rebellion (Bam77) Music: Go! Go! Asteroid Belt Finally, we’ve got a joke edit in the form of the Stormfrooper, a joke edit of the Stormtrooper. This character is bullet hell as they shoot everywhere on the screen, but will attack head first sometimes, summon the aforementioned GooGoo64’s Vader to force choke you, summon two other Stormtroopers to aid them and summon the Death Star, which will either instant-kill you or just miss entirely, they also can bring in a Kinder surprise egg, which has various different outcomes, either they’ll heal their health, add more bullets or summon the Death Star. This is a very tricky character to beat, as I had to find openings with Joel using his various different attacks, then show no mercy as I take him down.
