The Shree Shamlaji Vishnu Mandir is an ancient Hindu pilgrimage center located on the banks of the Meshwo River in the Aravalli district of Gujarat, India. Key Details De Deity: Dedicated to Lord Vishnu (worshipped as Shamlaji or Gadadhar, meaning the bearer of the mace). The deity is a black-colored idol holding traditional attributes, and a small golden flute has also been added. Architecture: Built using white sandstone and brick, the two-story structure features intricate carvings depicting scenes from the Ramayana and Mahabharata on its outer walls. It is also known as "Dholi Dhajawala" because of the white silk flag flying on top. History: The current structure dates back to the 15th-16th centuries, though the site itself holds archaeological significance with roots tracing back over 1,000 years.
