In this video, Santanu Roy was deeply trapped in alcohol and smoking addiction, spending nearly all his income on these habits and feeling unable to live without them. When his cousin saw the alcohol bottles in his kitchen, her words, “Brother, you were not like this,” broke him inside. Though he wanted to change, he could not overcome the addiction on his own. During a Christmas gathering, a preacher spoke about Jesus’ sacrifice and reminded him that our bodies are God’s temple. The message touched his heart, and he decided to follow Jesus with no turning back. Through prayer, Bible study, and Hebrews 13:5— “I will never leave you nor forsake you”— his faith grew. He continually asked God for strength, and step by step, God delivered him from his addictions and cleansed him from his sins.
