Most first digital products should be priced between $27 and $97 — and almost everyone prices at the bottom of that range or below it. Here's what the market actually pays, and how to pick your number. 👉 Want this applied to building something bigger? The podcast course: https://leslieellenmathews.com/sp/pod... Free alternative — the Niche Finder: https://leslieellenmathews.com/op/pod... Therapists, coaches, and teachers underprice for two reasons nobody names. The first is the session anchor. If you charge $150 an hour, a $47 workbook feels embarrassing to ask for. But your buyer isn't comparing your workbook to your therapy hour — she's comparing it to the other workbooks she looked at this week. She may not know what you charge. That anchor lives entirely in your head and it drags your price down for no reason. The second is what we absorbed in graduate school: that there's something a little grubby about profiting from helping. You can read every pricing guide on the internet and still type $19 into the box because $49 felt like too much to ask for. In this video: real market ranges by product type, why specificity — not your credentials — is what sets your price, and what I found when I went looking into whether the digit at the end of a price actually matters. That last one had a twist I didn't expect. Nine-ending prices convert better and retain worse. If your product is a standalone impulse buy, take the lift. If it's the front door to something bigger, you may be optimizing for the sale and against the business. I also talk about what I got wrong — including a free private podcast, eight episodes and a journal, that I should have charged for from the beginning.
