Three Sisters

Known as the "three sisters" by the people of the local communities in south-eastern Trinidad, the Trinity Hills area which includes the Trinity Hills Game Sanctuary and the Victoria-Mayaro Forest Reserve is an important site for the island's rich biodiversity. It contains the last lowland virgin forest in Southern Trinidad and all local land mammals. Over 70 species of birds, 15 species of freshwater fish and crustaceans, 16 amphibian species and 15 reptilian species make their home here.
