woodturning a satin walnut bowl

I made a bowl out of satin walnut and decorated it with a wire burner. I started by mounting the wood on the lathe with a faceplate, then turned and sanded the exterior before applying two coats of sealer. After the sealer cured, I hot-glued a plywood tenon to the bottom and mounted the bowl in reverse, with the plywood tenon in the chuck. I hollowed out the bowl, sanded it to a smooth 600-grit, and completed it with friction polish The bowl measures 21 centimeters across and stands 7 centimeters tall.
