Day 2 of our Georgia trip started by checking out of our stay at Aivani in Old Tbilisi right after breakfast. Our Plan today was to travel to the Kakheti region of Georgia, which is said to be the origin place of all wines, and stay at Kvareli Lake Resort. We met with our transporter, Jaaba who will be with us throughout our trip in Georgia. On our way, we first stopped at a vineyard where Jaaba explained the traditional wine making process and, more interestingly, how the traditional Georgian dessert or candy churchkhela is made. We tasted a few of the flavors at their local store and bought some for the road. Our next stop was at an Instagram-famous place where we were shown how the traditional Georgian bread was made at home. The Bread tasting experience with goat cheese was amazing and the fresh bread and tomatoes where delicious. If you are traveling to Georgia, definitely should try the fresh bread with goat cheese combo. After a breathtaking view of Signaghi, the city of love, from a distance with some fresh juice and wine, we finally reached Bodbe's St. Nino's Convent Cathedral. After spending some time there and taking a lot of photos for memories, we headed for lunch in Signaghi city. Lucky us, Jaaba got us to a restaurant that had the view if the great wall of Georgia where we had amazing food and finally left for our stay at Kvareli Lake Resort.
