Fred Anderson Velvet Lounge Jams Sept. 5, 2009, Sets 1 & 2

Fred Anderson hosted epic jam sessions at his Velvet Lounge on Labor Day Weekend every year. This weekend's jams (and this night in particular) were especially so. Unfortunately, these were the last Labor Day Jams, as Fred died the following June at 81. Fred Anderson, Kidd Jordan, Muhal Richard Abrams, Henry Grimes, Harrison Bankhead, Hamid Drake are in the first set, the second set are joined by Oliver Lake and Douglas Ewart.
