GATED Historic ESCO Hydraulic Freight Elevator at KTTX KWHI Building in Downtown Brenham, TX.

Video Recorded on August 27, 2026: Before I describe further, PLEASE NOTE that this elevator is NOT used for the public! Please do not try to play around on this elevator as it’s only meant to be used for merchandise only. Anyways, I have never been on an ESCO elevator that is literally a gated one. Makes me wonder if this was once an older elevator but got modernized with GAL black button fixtures at a later time. But this building was built in 1920 and it was once a radio station before. A BIG THANK YOU goes out to the building staff for letting me check out this old piece of beauty! You can definitely tell right at the beginning of this video how bombarded into an excitement of joy I got the moment I saw this elevator. Speaking oh thanks to the staff, this is a perfect way to celebrate Happy Labor Day to all the essential workers, which in this case is a huge special thanks to the staff for letting me see this particular elevator! But like I said PLEASE DO NOT come in here and mess with it, NOR should you bother the staff about it, fearing an awkward situation may happen. Thank you for your understanding!
