Addressing the gathering at the National Parade Ground, the Prime Minister instructed the village police personnel to work with greater dedication and increased strictness to curb social crimes. She also announced a salary increase for the 40,000 members of the force; effective today, members will receive a monthly salary of 10,500 Taka, while the chief of the unit will receive 11,000 Taka. Retirement allowances will also be increased, ranging from 10,000 to 20,000 Taka.
