4H026 Away in a Manger

Original arrangement for piano duet (1 piano, 4 hands) of James R. Murray's public domain hymn tune MUELLER ("Away in a Manger"). New material includes an introduction in which a rocking Secondo eighth-note figure is answered by the last line high in the Primo, like a music box. The Primo carries the melody in Verse 1; in Verse 2 the melody passes to the Secondo tenor while the Primo adds flowing eighths, echoes and a descant. A short transition moves from F to G, Verse 3 passes the melody between the players to an octave climax, and a quiet coda ends with a minor-plagal cadence. Chord symbols, dynamics and tempo markings have been added. https://www.sheetmusicdirect.com/en-U... https://www.sheetmusicplus.com/en/pro...
