Today, we’re starting our adventure at the Surabaya Submarine Monument! When I arrived, there was a huge group of students waiting in line—whether that was lucky or not, who knows! 😄 It was fun meeting them, but the noise levels were off the charts when they all started talking at once. But hey, they were friendly and full of energy! Next, we headed to Tunjungan Plaza, right next to Jl. Kaliasin, a street lined with tasty street food stalls. I was in the mood for something fresh and veggie-packed, so I went for Rujak. After chatting with the locals, I ended up at a small stall run by some kind local ladies, and the portion was huge! The best part? It only cost 10k IDR (about $0.60). Finally, I couldn’t leave Surabaya without trying Rawon, a famous East Javanese soup considered among the top 10 soups in the world. Lucky me, I found an amazing spot to try it, and it definitely lived up to the hype. Rich, salty, and heartwarming—it’s the perfect dish to end a food-filled day. From there we headed to Tunjungan Street to get some nice local Kopi Tarik...Loved that nice glass, it surely added to the taste..
