On my birthday, I didn't celebrate with a cake or a party. I spent it inside Bhaktigram — an ISKCON Vedic village near Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh, where people have chosen to leave behind the modern world completely. No mobile phones. No electricity. No internet. Children study in a Gurukul, not a school. Homes are built from mud bricks. Food comes from organic farming done by hand. And life? Life moves at the speed of devotion. In those 3-4 hours, I experienced something I hadn't felt in years — complete stillness. And it changed me more than any birthday ever has. ───────────────────────────────────── 🕉️ WHAT IS BHAKTIGRAM? ───────────────────────────────────── Bhaktigram is a real, functioning Vedic village set up by the ISKCON (Hare Krishna) community near Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh. The residents here have voluntarily chosen to live exactly the way people lived during Krishna Kaal — the era of Lord Krishna. No smartphones. No internet. No modern entertainment. Instead, they follow a daily routine built entirely around devotion, nature, and Vedic principles: → Children learn in a traditional Gurukul system → Homes are built with mud bricks — no cement, no steel → Food is grown through organic farming on the village land → Every morning begins with Guru Aarti and Krishna Bhakti This is not a tourist attraction. This is a living, breathing spiritual community — and I was lucky enough to step inside it on my birthday. ───────────────────────────────────── 🎂 MY BIRTHDAY AT BHAKTIGRAM ───────────────────────────────────── I reached Bhaktigram on the morning of 3rd May — my birthday. And instead of sleeping in or going to a restaurant, I found myself sitting in the middle of a Guru Aarti, eyes closed, completely at peace. The sound of the conch, the smell of incense, the chanting of Hare Krishna — it was unlike anything I had ever experienced. For someone who spends most of his time in cities, on flights, inside airports — this was a full reset. ───────────────────────────────────── 🎙️ PODCAST WITH SHRI NARMADA PRABHU JI ───────────────────────────────────── The most powerful part of this visit was my deep conversation with Shri Narmada Prabhu Ji — a senior devotee and resident of Bhaktigram. We sat together and he answered questions that most of us are too distracted to even ask: → Why did he leave modern life behind? → What does "real happiness" mean in Vedic philosophy? → What is the Gurukul system and why does it matter today? → Can people like us — traveling, hustling, screen-addicted — ever find the peace that people here have found? This entire conversation is in the video in podcast format. I promise — you will not skip a single second of it. | Visitor Policy & Future Stay Plans 08:19 – City life छोड़ना कैसा लगा? | Why They Chose This Life 11:34 – Daily Routine | 4 AM Aarti, Kirtan & Hare Krishna Mahamantra 14:15 – बिना AC के 45°C में कैसे जीते हैं? | Natural Insulation Secrets 15:44 – No Mobile, No Smartphone | How They Communicate 17:00 – Self-Reliant Economy | COVID & Global Crisis से कैसे बचे 19:08 – गाँव में 3 Doctors हैं! | Vedic vs Modern Medicine 28:09 – Life बेहतर बनाने का तरीका | Bhagavad Gita & Satsang 32:11 – एक Train Journey जिसने ज़िंदगी बदल दी | ISKCON Encounter (Timestamps updated shortly after upload) ───────────────────────────────────── 📍 LOCATION ───────────────────────────────────── Bhaktigram, Near Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh, India ISKCON Vedic Village | Hare Krishna Community ───────────────────────────────────── 🌍 ABOUT ARYAN KA SAFAR ───────────────────────────────────── Aryan Ka Safar is not about luxury resorts or sponsored trips.
