a winter's promise

its been a peculiar snowy winter here in nyc. growing up in the south where barely an inch of snow would be consecutive days off school, i really wanted to indulge in this winter season..even the slush. i pinch myself for how lucky i feel. i made my dreams come true. yet in the journey to get here, there are parts of me that feels more distant than ever. these days i find myself yearning for what was. maybe i'm too nostalgic for my own good.. anyway i hope you've had a good start to the new year and may we all achieve what our hearts wish for.
