Connecticut is small, wealthy, and quiet. It is also the state where a man put his wife through a wood chipper, where a nursing home was called a murder factory, and where a jury was asked, in open court, to consider whether the devil could be a defence. This is the full record of ten Connecticut cases, told in order, from a snowplough driver on a riverbank in 1986 to a home invasion in Cheshire that ended the state's death penalty. Each one is built from court records, police statements, trial coverage and the accounts of the people who lived through it. No dramatisation. No theories presented as facts. Just the record, and what it still leaves unanswered. CHAPTERS 00:00 One — Richard Crafts 08:40 Two — Amy Archer-Gilligan 16:54 Three — The murder of Martha Moxley 25:17 Four — Michael Ross 33:45 Five — Fotis Dulos and Michelle Troconis 41:50 Six — The Hartford circus fire 49:09 Seven — Raymond Clark III 56:29 Eight — Arne Cheyenne Johnson 1:03:52 Nine — Matthew Beck 1:11:10 Ten — Steven Hayes and Joshua Komisarjevsky A note on the victims: forty-seven people died in these ten cases. Their names are in this video because the cases belong to them, not to the men who made them famous. SOURCES Court records and appellate opinions from Connecticut courts, contemporaneous reporting from the Hartford Courant, the Associated Press and local Connecticut outlets, and official investigative reports. Specific sources for each case are listed in the pinned comment. For documentary and educational purposes. If a detail here is wrong, tell me in the comments and I will correct it in the pinned comment. #truecrime #connecticut #documentary #coldcase #truecrimedocumentary
