Metrolink Commuter Rail train passes the Chapman Avenue #1 railroad crossing, arriving at the Metrolink Orange Station in Orange, California.

Crossing in addition, has traffic lights that turn off when crossing is about to activate, but also used for reducing traffic for some traffic occasions.
This crossing is pretty neat. It originally had two Safetran cantilevers, including the one present today installed to what appears to have been installed sometime in the mid to late 1980s, by ATSF. Originally having 12x20" Safetran incandescent lights, wooden gates with WCH 7" incandescent gate lights, and Griswold/RACO mechanical bells. The Griswold/RACO mechanical bells appear that they might've come from the previous signals here. This crossing was pretty much left unchanged, up until the mid 2000s. Sometime between 2005 and 2006, the WCH 7" incandescent gate lights were replaced with NEG 4" incandescent gate lights, and the Safetran incandescent lights on both cantilevers were retrofitted Dialight Ball LEDs. In mid 2010, the current pedestrain gates and exit signals were installed, sometime around then the right Safetran cantilever was removed in order to make room for a new signal and to make view for the traffic lights being installed at the time. Also around then, the remaining Safetran cantilever's gated mast received Aurora Alstom LED gate lights replacing the NEG incandescent gate lights. Around late 2014 to early 2015, the Griswold/RACO mechanical bell on the remaining Safetran cantilever signal was replaced with the current General Signals Type 2 electronic bell. In early to mid 2018, the buttom 12x20 backgrounds on cantilever were replaced with 12x24" backgrounds.Then sometime between mid/late 2018 to early 2019, all diagonal stripe barriers were replaced with vertical stripe gate barriers with Aurora Alstom NEG branded LED gate lights.
