በዚህ የያየሽ ፖድካስት ዝግጅት ለሕፃናት የተሻለ፣ አስተማማኝና የሕፃናት መብትን ያማከለ የክብካቤ አማራጭ እንዴት ሊሰጥ እንደሚችል እንወያያለን። ውይይታችን በተባበሩት መንግሥታት የሕፃናት መብቶች ስምምነት በሚያስቀምጣቸው አራት ዋና መርሆዎች ላይ ያተኩራል፦ • አድልዎ የሌለበት አገልግሎት • የሕፃኑ ጥቅምና ደህንነት • የሕፃኑ ህልውናና ዕድገት • የሕፃኑ ተሳትፎና ሐሳቡን የመግለጽ መብት እንዲሁም የተለያዩ የክብካቤ አማራጮችን በመመልከት፦ 1. የቤተሰብ ተኮር ክብካቤ የቤተሰብ ጥበቃና አቅም ማጎልበት፣ መልሶ ማቀላቀል፣ የዝምድና ክብካቤ፣ የአደራ ቤተሰብ ክብካቤ እና ጉዲፈቻ። እያንዳንዱ የክብካቤ አማራጭ መቼና እንዴት ተገቢ እንደሚሆን፣ ለሕፃኑም የተሻለውን ውጤት ለማረጋገጥ ምን ነገሮች ግምት ውስጥ መግባት እንዳለባቸው እንወያያለን። በተለይም የሕፃኑ ዕድሜ፣ የግል ፍላጎት፣ የቤተሰብ ሁኔታ፣ ደህንነት፣ የዕድገት ፍላጎቶች እና የራሱ አስተያየት እንዴት በውሳኔ አሰጣጥ ውስጥ ሊታሰቡ እንደሚገባ እንመለከታለን። በመጨረሻም፣ ከማዕቀፍ ወደ ተግባር በመሻገር በኢትዮጵያ ያለውን ተግባራዊ ልምድ፣ ያሉትን ዋና ችግሮች እና ለወደፊቱ ሊደረጉ የሚገቡ መሻሻሎችን እንወያያለን። ዋናው መልዕክታችን፦ ሁሉም ሕፃናት አድልዎ ሳይደርስባቸው፣ በደህንነት እንዲያድጉ፣ ድምፃቸው እንዲሰማ እና የእነርሱ ጥቅም በሁሉም ውሳኔዎች ቀዳሚ ቦታ እንዲይዝ ማድረግ የሁላችንም ኃላፊነት ነው። #ChildRights #AlternativeCare #ChildProtection #ethiopian In this episode of Yayesh Podcast, we discuss how to provide children with safe, appropriate, family- and community-based alternative care that protects their rights, dignity, development, and well-being. The discussion is guided by four fundamental principles of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC): • Non-discrimination • The best interests of the child • The child’s right to survival and development • The child’s right to participation and to have their views heard and given appropriate weight We also explore different alternative care options, including: 1) Family-based care: Family preservation and strengthening, family reintegration, kinship care, foster care, and adoption. When is each option appropriate? What should families and service providers consider? How should a child’s age, individual needs, family circumstances, safety, development, and views influence decisions about their care? Finally, we move from the framework to practice and discuss alternative care in Ethiopia, key challenges, and what needs to improve. Our key message: Every child deserves to grow up in a safe, caring environment where their rights are protected, their voice is heard, and their best interests are placed at the centre of every decision.
