☀️ A Beautiful Final Sunday of Winter in Melbourne 🇦🇺 Join us for a relaxing Sunday walk through Karkarook Park in Melbourne, Australia, on a beautiful sunny winter day as we enjoy one of the final days of the season. With blue skies overhead and the sunshine making it feel like spring is already on its way, it was the perfect afternoon to get outdoors, slow down and enjoy a peaceful walk around the park. 🌿☀️🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️ 🌳 About Karkarook Park Located in Melbourne’s south-east, Karkarook Park is a large open parkland centred around a beautiful lake and wetlands. Interestingly, the area was once used for sand mining before being transformed and rehabilitated into the green recreational and conservation space we see today. The park features walking and cycling trails, wide grassy areas, wetlands, native vegetation and plenty of places to stop and enjoy the view. The lake and surrounding wetlands also provide habitat for a variety of birdlife, making it a lovely place for walking, nature watching or simply escaping the busy city for a while. On this walk, we take in the peaceful lakeside scenery, open parklands and beautiful winter sunshine while enjoying a quiet Sunday afternoon in Melbourne.
