He started on the phones at a commercial coffee equipment company and worked his way up to National Business Development Manager. On paper, he had it all. A six-figure salary, a company car, a home of his own and a stable career path. But he’d been watching remote sales for over a year and knew his income would always be capped by a salary band, no matter how good he got. So he backed himself. He left the salary behind and went all in, with a mortgage, £3-4K a month in bills and his partner months away from giving birth. He joined Capital Closer at the end of March, went through our incubator, systems and processes, and was placed into his first remote sales role. It didn’t go to plan. That role didn’t work out and he was dropped quickly. He had every reason to go back to corporate. Instead, he dug in. We placed him into a new role, and with no meetings in his diary he went back to what he knew. He sat in his box room during a heatwave, cold calling America and getting told no over and over, while his partner listened from the next room wondering what he’d done. His progression since then has been unbelievable. End of March: Joined Capital Closer May: First month in his new role June: $7,000 in commissions (with a newborn on the way) July: $5,000-6,000 in commissions (with two weeks off for the baby) August: $15,300 cash collected in commissions September: $25,200 in commissions That’s $55,000 across five months, and an 8x increase from May to September. When he first applied, his goal was $90,000 in 12 months. Six months in, he’s already well past halfway, and he’s now on track to step into a sales manager role. Same sales skill set. Completely different opportunity. More freedom. More upside. Getting paid directly on performance. And a career with no ceiling. Massive shoutout to James, and the scary thing is, he’s only just getting started👏 #remotesales #remotecloser #remotejobs #salescareer #corporatesales
