From failing to clearing with an exemption.
In this video, I’m sharing the exact, no-nonsense strategy I used to crack CA Final Group 2 (Direct Tax & Indirect Tax) after facing a brutal setback.
If you are struggling with huge syllabi, tricky case studies, or just feeling stuck after a bad attempt, this video is your step-by-step roadmap to bouncing back stronger.
👇 What we cover in this video:
The Turnaround: How I analyzed my mistakes and went from 35 to 61 in DT and 45 to 65 in IDT.
The DT Blueprint: My approach to International Taxation, core provisions, and managing the 1.5-day revision window.
Integrated Business Solutions (IBS): Dealing with Multidisciplinary Case Studies without losing your mind.
The Mindset: How to handle failure, reset your brain, and execute your plan perfectly.
Key Strategy Pillars:
Decision Making (0:23 - 2:47): After his first attempt, he analyzed past passing percentages and the syllabus load, opting to focus exclusively on Group 2 for the May attempt to avoid panic and ensure deep conceptual clarity.
Resource Management (5:01 - 6:02): He strategically mixed educators for DT, using BB Sir for in-depth topics like International Taxation and Yash Khandelwal Sir for lengthy, conceptual topics like PGBP, MAT, and TDS. For IDT, he relied on Akshansh Garg Sir.
Effective Revision (6:25 - 7:42): He emphasized multiple revisions, tracking the time taken for each. He ensured that subsequent revisions were faster than the previous ones by mapping out time slots per chapter.
Managing IBS (Integrated Business Solutions) (7:48 - 10:29): Since he didn't study Law and Costing extensively, he focused on reading 100-page summary notes to gain familiarity with terms and concepts, allowing him to identify and link questions during the exam without needing to solve exhaustive case studies.
Targeting Minor Topics (10:30 - 11:06): He stressed the importance of not skipping small chapters like GAR, Black Money Act, and DRC, noting that these low-effort topics often yield direct, high-scoring questions.
