Bure Valley Railway Everything Goes Gala Part 1 27/09/26

Join us as we head to the Bure Valley Railway for their Everything Goes Gala. This event features all of BVR's operational locomotives on a intensive timetable featuring both double & triple headers with a mix of both steam, diesel and electric locomotives. We start our day at Wroxham Station to see the first service of the day arrive and depart before making our way down the Bure Valley Path towards Alysham. A 9 mile combined pedestrian & cycle path that follows alongside the Bure Valley Railway. As we make our way towards Alysham stopping off at halts, Brampton, Buxton & Coltishall to see a range of locomotives passing through on their passenger services. We arrive at Alysham for some lunch and to see a bit of shunting, as well as seeing BVR No.4 & No.5 on static display which was a bit of a shame to see, as I hoped that they would both be operating as part of the event whether it was on a short goods train or on a passenger service. However inside the restoration workshop there was a temporary live steam layout setup where the group was demonstrating a range of 32mm Gauge live steam models.
