INTERVIEW: John Williams (with Lucas Richman); September, 2009

During his tenure as Music Director for the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra (2003-2015), Lucas Richman produced a series of podcasts in which he interviewed soloists and composers who would be featured in upcoming programs. Prior to the KSO's performance of "The Suite from The Reivers," Mr. Richman had the occasion to interview the esteemed composer/conductor, John Williams, about the work. In 2010, Mr. Williams subsequently invited Mr. Richman to lead the 11-week tour of Star Wars in Concert (with actor, Anthony Daniels), which took an 82-piece orchestra across the United States, and into Canada and Mexico, performing selections from the wondrous scores Williams composed for the first six films of the epic saga.
