Othon feat. David Tibet - The Dreamer Is Still Asleep (Mak Farewell Mix) [Coil Cover]

Long time ago David Tibet asked me to do a cover of this Coil track in memory of the band’s co-founder Jhonn Balance, who tragically exited this Earth in 2004. Being a huge fan of both David’s Current 93 project and of Coil, this was a dream come true, albeit under the saddest circumstances. Recently, I decided to revisit this song and donate it towards a compilation release in memory of Mayuan Mak, the man who founded London’s iconic venue Electrowerkz and who provided a welcoming space for London’s diverse underground communities. Like Jhonn, Mak departed at a surprisingly young age, leaving behind a strong legacy and an extended family who has greatly benefited from his life’s work. The compilation is in 4 volumes and includes a diversity of underground artists, all connected one way or another to Mak and to Electrowerkz such as Jo Quail, Orphx, Julia A Katarina, Years of Denial and Law334 feat. Choronzon. You can purchase the compilation from the link below, together with a super-limited edition USB card (101 copies) that includes all 4 volumes https://makmemorialcompilation.bandca... All profits will go towards Electrowerkz. Photo courtesy of Mandy Williams https://mandywilliams.com
