How I Recreated Pryda's "Europa" Pluck in Serum 2

Welcome to CNTRL ROOM, where I break down professional sound design and production techniques the way I wish someone had shown me. In this episode, I walk through exactly how I rebuilt the pluck from Pryda's "Europa" inside Serum 2. Not just the patch settings -- the thinking behind every decision. How to listen to a reference, identify what's actually happening sonically, and translate that into a synth architecture that holds up in a mix. This is the kind of session I run with producers inside the CNTRL ROOM mentoring program. You're getting a full look at how that works. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ What's covered in this breakdown: ► Reference analysis -- how to actually hear what a sound is doing ► Oscillator and wavetable selection for the Europa's bright, metallic character ► Envelope shaping for a tight, punchy pluck decay ► Filter movement and how it defines the transient feel ► Modulation that gives the patch life across its decay ► Effects chain -- what matters and what's just noise ► Placing the patch in an arrangement context ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🎛 CNTRL Room Mentoring CNTRL Room is my one-on-one mentoring program for producers who are serious about leveling up their sound design, arrangement, and overall production quality -- with direct feedback from someone who's been doing this professionally for over 20 years.
