Wheat Lodging reasons or How to save and increase Wheat grain yield or Balance nutrition in wheat crop: In this video, I will try to brief you the reasons or different factors which decreases wheat grains yield such as over dose of urea or nitrogenous fertilizers or late application of nitrogenous fertilizers. No or less use of phosphatic fertilizers such as DAP etc and no or less use of potash fertilizer. All these mistakes contribute to wheat lodging. Lodging is of two types in wheat crop: 1) Roots lodging 2) Stem lodging Roots lodging is due to less use of DAP and stem lodging is due to over dose of nitrogenous fertilizers such as Urea or CAN gwara or late application of such fertilizers or no or less use of potassium fertilizer which leads to soft green stem. These are some reasons which leads to wheat lodging.
