I left everything behind to chase a dream and find out if what I was hearing from God was actually real. What I didn’t realize was that my “yes” would take me through one of the most intense seasons of my life—a desert season where everything familiar was stripped away, and I had to learn how to trust God when I couldn’t see the next step. God began teaching me how to recognize His voice from the voice of the enemy. That training came through strenuous mental testing, temptation, uncertainty, and moments where I had to choose obedience over what looked easier, safer, or more logical. I was learning that hearing God isn’t just about receiving a word—it’s about knowing His voice well enough to follow His instructions when everything around you is trying to pull you off track. And yes… there were some VERY real desert moments. We experienced a season of dryness where provision looked completely different than I imagined. My kids can’t even look at a La Quinta hotel waffle station the same way anymore because we literally lived off those waffles! 😂 But even there, God was faithful. He sustained us, taught me, humbled me, and showed me that He could provide in places I never expected to find provision. I never asked God for this gift. I was simply curious enough to give Him a “yes” and see where it would lead. And WOW… did I receive an answer I wasn’t expecting. What started as curiosity became a completely new life, new opportunities, and a deeper understanding of purpose. In this episode, I’m sharing the beginning of that journey—and why I believe there is a time coming when knowing God’s voice, following His guidance, and recognizing the people He is raising up will matter more than ever.
