Martin Wirén - Saxophone Anton Dromberg - Piano Light and sound vibrate. Movements transmitted through space and time. Music and color become one. After releasing his international acclaimed jazz album “Sunshine Fruit” in February 2021 Bear Garden is now back with the very intimate EP “Hue” captured live at Atlantis Studio in Stockholm with pianist Anton Dromberg. With his new EP “Hue”, saxophonist and composer Martin Wirén creates vast musical movements in a minimalistic format. Martin Wirén usually accompanied by his dynamic eight-man band is now exploring the intimacy of the duo. In four stripped down compositions light and sound join together into an ambient musical landscape. Martin Wirén ́s new EP contrasts from his previous albums, characterized by complex structures and big arrangements. With “Hue”, Martin Wirén widens his musical expression and airs a more personal side. “Playing duo is inspiring. It creates open spaces and voids that enrich the music. The difference between silence and music – darkness and light become at the same time absolute and subtle.”
