First time fishing with livebait in Cape Town, South Africa

No lures were working, spinners, sprats or pink plakkies. Pinned out some livies on the Trident Kobu 2/0 hooks and got picked up by something massive. Fishing off the Trident fishing kayak which has a huge open live well. Easy enough to quickly grab a new livie to chuck out. Maybe you buggers would start using livies? This is pretty sick as it's my first fish using a livie in the Cape. I think I have whacked so many sharks & seals with livies before that I was worried I'd be on with a seal again this time. Using lures is still more effective as you cover more area quicker & can chase busting fish without losing your livie. This was one of those flook days. I don't know how many days I have tried this technique before and have failed terribly... So I was super stoked to get this katonkel in the hatch! Yeeeeew!
