Saved by a Swipe | Transforming a Fluid Art Painting

Sometimes one change is all it takes to completely transform a painting. For this piece, I returned to a similar from last week but made a couple of changes: I removed the Charvin Indigo/Golden Jenkins Green mix and added TLP Storm. When I wasn’t happy with the original composition, I decided to swipe through it-and the result became something entirely different. Colors Used • Golden Payne’s Grey • Golden Interference Gold • Golden Phthalo Turquoise • Tri-Art Golden Yellow • Golden Iridescent Gold Fine • TLP Storm Cell Activator • Atelier Green Black • Australian Floetrol • 4:1 Australian Floetrol to paint For my cell activators, I use Australian Floetrol mixed with acrylic paint. My ratio can range anywhere from approximately 1:1 to 4:1 Australian Floetrol to paint depending on the paint I’m using and the effect I’m looking for. ⸻ 🎨 Pillow Paint For my bloom and swipe techniques, I use one of the following depending on what I have available and the background color I want: • PPG Multi-Pro Eggshell • Glidden Multi-Pro Eggshell • Sherwin-Williams Color To Go ⸻ 🧪 Pouring Medium Recipes These are the two pouring-medium recipes I use for my bloom and swipe paints.
