'Iran War Is The Root': Mehdi Hasan Analyses Political Fallout For Trump And The Republican Party

In an interview with India Today's Rajdeep Sardesai following the US midterm elections, Zeteo editor-in-chief Mehdi Hasan analyzed the political fallout for Donald Trump and the Republican Party. Hasan stressed that despite the electoral defeat, Trumpism remains deeply entrenched, arguing, "I don't think Trumpism is going anywhere." He described the Iran war as the "root of all evil" behind the Republican losses, asserting that it betrayed campaign promises and triggered inflation and soaring fuel prices. Hasan also noted voter anger toward rampant political corruption, tech oligarchs, and corporate greed, pointing out how candidates won on populist working-class agendas. While expressing skepticism about whether Democratic leaders will push to impeach Donald Trump, Hasan suggested congressional investigators could target senior administration officials. Addressing the broader global landscape, he observed that while results in the United States and Brazil signal pushback, right-wing populism is far from defeated. #MehdiHasan #DonaldTrump #USMidterms #itwebvideos #Trumpism #MAGA #Zeteo #USPolitics #Democrats #Republicans #IranWar #USCongress #ElonMusk #AbdulElSayed #Geopolitics #IndiaToday Subscribe to India Today for NEW VIDEOS EVERY DAY and make sure to enable Push Notifications so you'll never miss a new video.
