This was my second time flying with Vietravel Airlines, traveling from Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) to Hanoi. The flight went quite smoothly under clear, sunny skies—a stroke of luck, given that Saigon is entering its rainy season, a time when many other flights have had to take detours due to poor weather. This also marked my second time departing from the newly constructed Terminal 3, which opened for operations last year. We encountered some fairly strong turbulence during the flight, though it didn’t cause any major issues. Vietravel’s service was acceptable; personally, however, I prefer flying with the national carrier, Vietnam Airlines, or the newly established Sun Phu Quoc Airways. The flight departed 25 minutes late due to the late arrival of the aircraft; furthermore, you are not permitted to film flight attendants while they are providing safety instructions.
