FAST Otis Elevonic 401 Traction Elevators @ The Guggenheim Building - Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN

(5/4/2021) *Disclaimer: This elevator was filmed on the Mayo Clinic campus in downtown Rochester. I did NOT come to Mayo Clinic solely to film the elevators. I was here for a legitimate reason. Do not go to any medical buildings during the COVID-19 Pandemic unless you have a legitimate reason too (such as you have an appointment, you are visiting someone, etc). I also apologize if these takes are somewhat crappy. I was attempting to not get any weird looks since this is the Mayo Clinic, and I don't want to get into any issues here or anywhere for that matter. I saw a video of these as well, and I really wanted to ride these. These are Otis Elevonic 401's with Series 1! Elevonic 401 with Series 1 are among my favorite elevator models of all time, so I can never pass one up. The Guggenheim building is connected right into the Hilton Building, but is way taller. Even though this building is 20 floors, the Gonda and Mayo buildings are still way taller. These are FAST for 20 floors. I really enjoyed riding these due to their speed. In addition, these run very well for their age, seem to be maintained well, and are overall very efficient (although I had a long wait time for a car). At first I originally thought these were Westinghouse, but the door track proves these were Otis. Interesting thing is that 3 of the 6 cars have an older Otis door track than the other. I wonder if 3 of these were Otis Touch or something, and then at some point Otis modded those 3 as well as installed the other 3. We may never know, but it is definitely interesting!
