Почему амурские тигры охотятся на уссурийских бурых медведей

Why do Siberian tigers hunt the Ussuri brown bear, an animal that often outweighs them? In this Siberian tiger documentary, we follow the real science through the snowy taiga of the Russian Far East to find out. Brown bears are the Siberian tiger’s biggest kill thieves. In the Sikhote-Alin Mountains, bears fed on 62 of 353 tiger kills, about one in every six. So the Amur tiger did something no other big cat does on a regular basis: it fought back. Follow the snow tracks of Dima, a giant collared Siberian tiger whose broken canine left three bite wounds on a brown bear he killed with one leap and one bite. Visit the Khekhtsir reserve near Khabarovsk, where bears once made up about a third of the tigers’ diet. Meet Odyr, a medium-sized tiger who killed a large male bear, and Boris, the orphaned cub who taught himself to hunt bears. We also reveal what most tiger videos leave out: in 45 recorded clashes, the bear died 22 times and the tiger died 12. Plus the tiger vs bear tale of the tape, and how the tiger compares with lions, pumas, wolves and leopards.
