Join us as we take on another Dartmoor adventure, this time walking from Okehampton Station across northern Dartmoor to Belstone Tor, where we're planning to spend the night wild camping. Starting in Okehampton, we follow the East Okement River before heading towards the village of Belstone and out onto the open moor. Along the way we discover some of the history hidden in this part of Dartmoor, including Belstone Common, the Nine Stones ring cairn, Belstone Tor and the Irishman's Wall. We also encounter the very different military landscape of the Okehampton Training Area, before reaching our overnight destination on the moor. After setting up camp on Belstone Tor, we spend the evening enjoying the views before waking up on Dartmoor for the second part of our adventure. Day two takes us back towards Okehampton via Winter Tor, Knattaburrow Tor, Hart Tor, Rowtor, Black Down and East Hill, with more granite tors, wide-open moorland and fascinating stories along the way. It's another adventure of walking, wild camping, Dartmoor history and exploring the British countryside — and we're hoping the weather is kind to us! Thanks for watching and subscribe to Explorer Jon and Sarah to join us on our travels. You can find more details about the route here: https://www.alltrails.com/en-gb/trail... Please note that military firing takes place on parts of northern Dartmoor. We checked the current firing information before our walk and followed all signs and access restrictions. Never enter a live firing area; red flags by day and red lamps at night indicate live firing. Check firing times here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publica...
