Isabella for St Mary’s College at TuTagata PolyFest 2026 | Year 9 Journey Join us as we watch Isabella Salanoa-Leota proudly represent St Mary’s College Wellington at the 2026 TuTagata Secondary Schools Poly Festival during her very first year as a Year 9 student. TuTagata is one of Wellington’s biggest celebrations of Pacific culture, bringing together secondary schools from across the region to showcase the incredible talents, traditions, music and dance of the Pacific. Founded in 1979, the festival has become a long-standing celebration of Pacific excellence, identity, language and culture, with thousands of performers, supporters and whānau coming together every year. For St Mary’s College, TuTagata is more than just a performance. It represents months of rehearsals, teamwork, discipline, and commitment, while providing students with the opportunity to celebrate their heritage and strengthen the bonds within their school and wider Pasifika community. The school’s Pasifika Asosi actively supports students through events like Polyfest, recognising the importance of culture, identity and belonging. Watching Isabella step onto this stage for the first time was incredibly special. As a Year 9 student beginning her journey at St Mary’s College, this performance marks the start of what we hope will be many years of unforgettable memories, lifelong friendships, and pride in representing both her school and her culture. We’re so proud of the dedication shown by every student, teacher, tutor, volunteer and family member who helps make TuTagata possible each year.
