MAINAKER DOLBOL A folk band that stands apart from the rest—because while many perform folk music in conventional ways, this band brings their songs to the audience with a fresh concept, seamlessly blending Eastern traditions with Western influences. The band’s lead singer, Mainak Paladhi, though performing solo across various television channels, was deeply inspired by the vision of the legendary pioneer of Bengali folk, the late Kalika Prasad Bhattacharya. Following in the footsteps of ensembles like Dohar, Mainak founded MAINAKER DOLBOL in 2017. That marked the beginning of their journey—a spirited struggle to spread the essence of folk music across India, performing in towns, villages, and cities alike. Till date, the band has already lit up more than 40 stages in Mumbai, the cultural hub of Indian music.
