Sama' Abdulhadi delivers a powerful and driving techno session live from Utopia Festival 2021 in Marseille, France. One of the first Palestinian DJs to achieve international recognition, Sama' Abdulhadi has developed a distinctive techno sound combining relentless dancefloor energy, powerful percussion and carefully constructed musical journeys. Her musical identity was shaped extensively by Beirut’s underground electronic scene, where she refined an approach she describes as “Berlin techno” perceived through a Lebanese perspective. Her sets move through different moods while remaining rooted in high-octane, full-bodied techno. After years of developing the electronic music scene in Palestine, Sama' gained worldwide attention following her now-iconic Boiler Room performance recorded in Ramallah in 2018. 2021 marked another important period in her international rise. Earlier that year she released “Reverie” through CircoLoco Records, continuing to explore the driving, hypnotic side of techno that defines much of her DJ sound.
