Bach Sinfonia No.7 in E minor BWV793 Satomi Chihara/バッハ シンフォニア 7番 ホ短調 千原賢美

Many piano learners may study Bach’s Inventions and Sinfonias at least once in their life. Bach himself used it to educate his eldest son and students. Sadly it is rarely played at the concerts by professional pianists, however, I believe many of the compositions from Inventions and Sinfonias are as wonderful as Bach’s other masterworks. In my recital at the beautiful church Muziek Haven, I played Sinfonia No.7 in E minor and Sinfonia No.13 in A minor (   • Bach Sinfonia No.13 in A minor BWV 799, Sa...  ). Sinfonia No.7 seems very tragic also because of the melody in the beginning. But just like other compositions by Bach, sorrow is not the end of the road. There is always an underlying hope for salvation reflecting the strong Christian roots of Bach’s music. Especially the last major chord (Picardy third) evokes redemption. It was an unforgettable moment for me to play Bach’s music in the church, and made me realize how much I adore his music. I will keep learning other pieces from Inventions and Sinfonias and will perform them in my concerts in 2021. Recording: live streaming from the concert at Muziek Haven on the 26th of September 2020. Piano: Satomi Chihara バッハのインベンションとシンフォニアは、ピアノ学習者なら誰しも一度は通る道だと思います。バッハも彼の長男フリーデマンの教育や、自身の生徒の教育にも使っていました。バッハの他の傑作に匹敵するくらい美しい楽曲も多く含まれていると私は考えているのですが、悲しいことにプロのピアニストの演奏会で取り上げられることはそう多くありません。 2020年に行ったオランダの教会 ムジーク ハーヴェンでの演奏会の際には、シンフォニア7番と13番(   • Bach Sinfonia No.13 in A minor BWV 799, Sa...  )を演奏しました。 シンフォニア7番はその出だしのメロディーから悲劇的な印象を与えます。しかし他のバッハの作品もそうであるように、バッハの悲しみは単純な悲しみだけではないと思います。キリスト教の魂の救済のように、深い悲しみ根底には救済への希望があると私は感じます。特に長調の和音での終わり方（ピカルディ終止）には安心させられます。今日、世界中が大変な状況にあるからこそ、バッハの音楽が人々にもっと受け入れられるのではないかと私は考えています。 バッハの音楽を教会で弾くのは私にとって忘れ難い瞬間で、演奏中に改めて自分の中にあったバッハへの敬慕の念に気づかされました。インベンションとシンフォニアは今後も引き続き学んでいき、2021年の演奏会でも弾いていこうと思っています。 録音: Muziek Haven, 2020年9月26日 演奏: 千原賢美
