Traditional Christmas carols sung in the style of a 1950s crooner: a warm baritone with piano, upright bass, brushed drums and strings, and in a few carols a big band swing with brass. Jingle Bells opens, followed by Jolly Old Saint Nicholas, The Twelve Days of Christmas, It Came Upon the Midnight Clear, The First Noel and O Holy Night. A mid-century listening room at blue hour, painted like a 1950s magazine illustration. A long walnut hi-fi console holds a record that is turning, with a rack of plain record sleeves beside it. A slim brick fireplace burns with a pine garland across the mantel, a brass floor lamp glows over a low tweed sofa with a wool blanket, and a tree with red and gold glass ornaments and warm white lights stands by the window. Outside, snow falls on the back yard, a wooden fence, snowy pines and a lantern on a post. No one is in the room, only a mug of cocoa on the console. 00:00 | 1. Jingle Bells 02:34 | 2.
